Virtual Learning Environment
A computer simulation to improve the impact and success of Cohesion Policy
Let’s improve the current implementation… after all this time spent researching we want out work to have a concrete impact!
How? A computer simulation will combine the research’s findings to see how practitioners and policymakers can improve the impact and success of Cohesion Policy!
Objectives:
This WP is aimed at integrating contributions from previous WP and to generate a model to be processed through simulation in order to develop a scenario analysis. Indeed objectives are:
- to build qualitative models appropriate for the analysis of the interaction among Cohesion Policy implementation, regional specificities, communication policies, the symbolic space created by regional policies and identification with the EU project;
- to build and validate a quantitative model;
- to develop simulation experiments and to analyse the outcome of these experiments;
- to suggest explanations for the specific relations established between model behaviour and model structure;
- to develop a friendly interface to use the computer model as a virtual learning environment for policy-makers.
Milestones:
- M15: Qualitative model for simulation, month 26;
- M16: Paper on simulation experiments, month 36.

Meet PERCEIVE’s Project Coordinator

Take a closer look inside the project and find out how, according to the project coordinator Professor Edoardo Mollona from the University of Bologna, PERCEIVE aims at shaping the discourse on the future of European identity. He will personally work on the creation of a computer model that will facilitate policymakers’ ability to predict the effects of Cohesion Policy’s implementation and communication strategies.
